这部纪录片跟踪拍摄了在东日本大地震中遭受重大损失的、隶属于宫城県松島基地的航空自卫队特技飞行团队“蓝色脉冲”。“蓝色脉冲”于1960年成立，作为航空自卫队的“第4航空団第11飞行队”隶属于宫城県松島基地。2011年3月11日的东日本大地震给基地的跑道和飞机带来了毁灭性打击。不过，当时因活动转移至九州・福冈芦屋基地的飞机奇迹般地幸免于难。队员中不少人失去了自己的家人，但他们仍奔波于灾区救援工作。在克服了种种苦难、得到众多民众支持后，纪录片跟踪记录了“蓝色脉冲”历经约两年半最终实现复活的过程。本片由曾执导《战国自卫队1549》《空へ 救いの翼 RESCUE WINGS》的手塚昌明担任导演。
